The biggest drawback with Firefox 2 is that the tabs have been 'improved'. The new style tabs have close buttons on each individual tab and that the tabs are a lot wider now so even with a large high resolution monitor one is forever scrolling looking for the correct tab.
The following configuration fix will solve this.
Open Firefox:
In the browser enter the URL: "about:config" (no quotes)
You ought to see a load of configuration values. There are two in which you will be interested.
browser.tabs.closeButtons set this value to 3 - This will remove the close button from each tab.
browser.tabs.tabMinWidth set this value to 0 - This will make the tab as small as possible before scrolling.
