How to Prevent Applications from Taking the Focus from the Current Window
It can be annoying if you're reading a document and suddenly a new application starts up and steals the focus away from the window you were viewing. Here's how to prevent this from happening:
Open your favorite registry editor.
Navigate to this key: HKEY CURRENT USER\Control Panel\Desktop.
In the right details pane, double click the item ForegroundLockTimeout.
In the value data field, set a hexadecimal value of 00030d40.
Click OK and close the registry editor.
Note that this change will only apply to the user account that is currently logged on.
